Gold glows and flashes with movement as it reflects the light.
Heavy 24k gold leaf and thin gold foil were collaged and fused to silver using the keum boo technique. A dip in liver of sulfur patina was the final step and greatly increased the contrast as each layer of 24K gold reacted to the patina differently. I find the way light is reflected by the collaged layers of gold on the textured silver base mesmerizing.
