Aqua Ammonite Pendant patinated to look ancient, perhaps like treasure found in a sunken ship.
The etched copper ammonite hollow form began with a photo of an ammonite fossil and features a beautiful blue green patina sealed with marine grade lacquer. The back of the pendant was etched with a design of fossilized coral.
I created the unique chain of copper links and patinated it black to complement the ammonite form. A hard carnauba wax coating seals the patina.
Ammonite is 1.75 x 1.25” (44mm x 38mm)
Chain is adjustable to 21” and features a turquoise bead at end.
Ammonites were shelled cephalopods that died out about 66 million years ago. Ammonite fossils are found all around the world and valued for their beauty and history.
