Glass Rod Storage

A really handy storage system for glass rods made from PVC pipe. The longer rods sticking out are left over from when I had them cut in half, now I request them cut into thirds so they fit completely inside the pipe. 119 different colors can be accommodated in the stack of 63 tubes by using the spaces between. To the left and on top of the unit are bundles of back-up stock for my favorite colors. Most of the glass I use is Moretti glass from Italy, although I do use a few colors of Lausha glass from Germany. I plan to buy more colors from this supplier and to eventually work with other types of glass as well (can't have too many tools or too many colors!), so will need to build more storage to keep it all organized.
