The focal beads featured in the sets on this page are inspired by the designs and colors found on African beads and fiber designs. I do not directly copy any pattern but choose elements to play with when I make my own glass beads. Because my beads do not have the precision of some dot patterned beads, I see them as being more "primitive" and playful. Beads are etched for a stone like surface, adding to the "natural" look of them. All beads slide easily on a 12 gauge wire. With some sets I have included either copper wire or copper beads to show how great these colors look with copper. I like to mix copper and silver in the jewelry I make using these beads.
